AS Hoolekandeteenused secures their welfare houses with dispersed video surveillance

“Synology is made following IT people logics,” explains Lumeste why it is so easy to use this solution. “If old traditional closed systems tried to adapt to modern digital age, Synology have made the system from beginning according to computer user´s logic. This system is then expanded to video surveillance and result is simple, easily manageable solution.”

But there is one uncomfortable feature Lumeste points out. Video surveillance software needs browser plugin to work. This needs some settings to change and some installations. But this problem is removable – AS Hoolekandeteenused uses Synology workstation solution VS360HD, too, what is fully working video surveillance device You can use with attached monitor. Then You don´t need to install anything at all. It just works.

By using Synology NAS devices You can use all different features that come with NAS, for instance file server, media- and photo server, cloud services. AS Hoolekandeteenused is not using additional features, but it is possible in the future.

The most important feature when choosing video surveillance solution is to record videos and register movements. Rewind and search is also very important. “It was useful for us several times,” describes Lumeste situations, where video surveillance system was helpful.
