Synology personal cloud system allows you to be connected with your data regardless of your location. There are number of special applications designed for smartphones, that allow easy access to files, stream music, watch your photo galleries or monitor home surveillance system.

Synology detects if you connect to it with a mobile phone and displays special, small screen friendly interface. On top of that, if you are a proud owner of a iPhone or Android phone, you get these special applications free of charge: DS audio, DS cam, DS file, DS finder, DS photo and AirPrint Support.

Digital Suitcase on Your iPhone/iPod/iPad/Android Phones

You don’t have to worry about leaving your important files behind. Anything stored on your DiskStation can now be acquired remotely with DS file. You will be able to view your files, documents, even music and videos right on your iPhone/iPod touch as long as the Internet connection is available. On iPad, the user interface has been completely revamped to maximize your haptic experience on the big screen

Live Music Streaming

Synology put much effort into the work to bring you the most native using experience on each device.

DS audio allows you to stream your music library from Audio Station direct to your mobile device. Browse songs by albums, artists, folders, or genres; create playing queues or simply grab 100 songs randomly, all at your fingertips.

Live View IP Cameras Anywhere On-the-go

If you are miles away traveling and just received a message from Surveillance Station, stating there may be suspicious event happening at your property. DS cam comes in handy to remotely stream live views from all your IP cameras on Surveillance Station.

During live view, you may take live pictures of the camera screen. Pictures are archived in your phone’s memory. When camera is equipped with PTZ function, you can swipe the mobile device touch screen to interact with the camera by panning/tilting. Optical or digital zoom is also available by pinching the touch screen as well.

DS cam is not only limited to live view your IP cameras. You can also view each camera’s past recorded events.

View Photos and Videos On-the-Roam

All photos and videos available on Photo Station can be browsed in DS photo+. When you enter an album, media are presented as thumbnails wall. Swipe your finger across the screen to move through the list. Have your say on any entry by leaving a comment.

With DS photo+ you can virtually carry with you around thousands of photos and present them in a nice, professional and well designed online album format to people you meet. Best of all – all the albums are created automatically, you do not need to do anything!

Why only view? Synology allows you to create new albums straight from your mobile device. If you have new pictures or videos that need to be uploaded onto Photo Station, simply transfer the files via DS photo+. Select an album and the files are uploaded conveniently in seconds.

Wireless Printing from iOS Devices

The Synology DiskStation empowers your printer to become AirPrint-enabled. A true plug-and-play experience as there is no learning curve to set up AirPrint. With everything setup properly, you will now be able to print photos, email messages, web pages and office documents wirelessly from your iPhone, iPod touch or iPad as long as all the devices are within the same network. All you need to do is make sure your printer is on Synology’s printer support list.
