Synology Surveillance Station upgraded

Scalewireless storage and surveillance partner Synology announced the official release of Surveillance Station 6.3, which won the Computex 2014 Best Choice Award by bringing superior performance, robust reliability, and streamlined navigation.

New version increases the number of pre-installed free camera license to two, providing greater flexibility for initial deployment. Synchronized playback and live view can now be done up to 64 channels at once, Mac OS X is again fully supported. Business customers love added joystick and edge-storage support.

As a true all-around surveillance appliance, Surveillance Station 6.3 provides robustness while guarantees high return of investment. It now supports edge recording to provide uninterrupted recording in the event of network downtime or on-the-move scenario, such as off-site train and buses. On the other hand, native-support for panoramic and multi-lens cameras increases efficiency in deployment, and reduces total costs of ownership. Surveillance Station 6.3 now supports over 2,700 IP camera models, increasing camera possibilities and deployment flexibility.

Designed for expanding the number of cameras set up on Surveillance Station 6.3, an eight-channel camera license pack is now available.

Usability is brought to the next level through the enriched on-screen options and support of joystick that increases productivity for security installations encompassing great amounts of cameras. The dedicated Surveillance Web Plugin for Mac greatly enhances the performance up to 6 times, bringing a much smoother navigating experience.

Surveillance Station 6.3 is free and available to download in the Package Center for DiskStation Manager.
