Synology Upgrades to Full ONVIF Membership

SCALEWIRELESS storage and NVR partner Synology announced that it has gained full membership of Open Network Video Interface Forum (ONVIF).

ONVIF is an open industry forum for the development of a global standard for the interface of IP-based physical security products. The ONVIF specification will ensure interoperability between products regardless of manufacturer.

“By adopting ONVIF global standard, Synology users will be benefited from seamless integration that has a high level of flexibility and freedom of choice as it ensures interoperability between Synology products and ONVIF compatible IP surveillance devices,” said Chad Chiang, product manager of Synology Inc.
